Metrology weights
Scientific Metrology
Accuracy class E – Accuracy class F – Accuracy class M
OIML WEIGHTS FROM 1 mg TO 50 kg E1 & E2
OIML Weights features class E
These weights comply with metrologic standards (Maximum Error Tolerated= MET) in terms of material (roughness, magnetisation, etc.) of shape and marking to the OIML R111 international standard. They can be delivered individually or in set, and packed in wooden box or plastic case. All the mg weights are wire shaped (triangular, square or pentagonal). They are usually proposed with COFRAC (Mass accreditation 2-1218 Scope available on www.cofrac.fr) calibration, service that Zwiebel is able to support thanks to its 3 accredited laboratories.
E class weight application areas
E1 calibration weights are used for :
- Calibration of E2 class weights in compliance with OIML R111 till 50kg
- Calibration of weighing equipment which level number is higher than 1 000 000.
- Verification of class I weighing equipement from in accordance with OIML R76 or 45501.
- Calibration of class I weighing equipment
E2 calibration weights are used for :
- Calibration of F1 class weights in compliance with OIML R111 till 1000kg
- Calibration of weighing equipment which level number is higher than 1 00 000.
- Verification of class I weighing equipement from in accordance with OIML R76 or 45501.
- Calibration of class I or II weighing equipment
Thanks to its experience , Zwiebel can assist you in all your weights and masses measurement needs. We are able to go further in ultra precision need and to our state-of-the-art expertise and innovation capacity mean we can meet requests higher than E1.
We are then able to propose E0 masses (E0 does not belong to uncertainty precision class but to the 1/3 of uncertainty of E1 class. These one will be used for calibration of E1 weights till 50kg.
This type of request are on request only.
Handling / Maintenance / Storage for E class weights
Handling/Using : Zwiebel proposes a complete range of accessories that enable you to use ypur weights in optimal conditions (tweezer, weight handle, gloves, etc..).
Maintenance : In order to ensure the results, your weights have to be regularly cleaned. As the surface properties of the weight must not be modified, our brushes or cleaning set will help you in the care purpose of your weights.
Storage : It is recommended to store standard weights and masses in their original boxes. Weights and masses without box shall be stored in appropriate places (laboratory conditions, under glass etc…)
